Our love for beautiful timber furniture and interiors begins at home, literally. Take a look at the things we've built around ourselves at in our own home over the the years.
If you're not sure about transforming those old and special artefacts in your life into pieces of heirloom furniture, I can only tell you that once you do they begin starting conversations and cause your family to share and reminisce. If you're curious, we'd love to hear from you.
The search is half the fun, and having a good number of intriguing materials on hand gets our creative juices flowing. Here are some examples of the materials we collect to incorporate into new creations.
The kitchen is progressing well, with the painter in doing his thing, we will soon be able to pop on all the door's for the kitchen, laundry, bathroom's and hallway. The timber bench tops are looking fantastic, with one in the hallway and the other's in the kitchen, complimenting the marble on the Island bench.
All the cabinet carcasses are raw at the moment but will be painted on the inside and will have solid timber doors. Some doors will be painted while others will be clear coated, depending on their location in the house. This now gives us enough space in the workshop to move onto the next lot of cabinets ... the kitchen!
Andy is currently working on a solid timber Kitchen for a couple up in Gembrook. They have requested that the Kitchen be done completely out of Feature Grade timber, which suits the style of the house they're building and will look amazing when complete.
These antique wood planes are relics of an earlier woodworking era and have a very interesting look and feel. We keep a few on our display shelves among other trinkets lovingly collected over the years. Enjoy!
